The Port Townsend Portal by Eldritch Black

The Port Townsend Portal has opened!

Ready for a new spooky tale in the Weirdbey Island series? Why, you’re in luck, because The Port Townsend Portal is here at long last.

I originally had the idea for this story in the winter of 2023 but I knew I had to think it through because… well you’ll see why. Let’s just say there’s a lot of twists and turns. So I decided to write The Coupeville Haunt first, not that novel didn’t have twists and turns itself.

I’ve been visiting Port Townsend since I moved to Whidbey Island in 2008, and I’ve always been drawn to its Victorian buildings and the mist that occasionally rolls in from the Puget Sound. It’s always seemed like the perfect place for a story, and so I wonder how long this one’s been growing in the back of my mind. It might be a very long time.

So what is The Port Townsend Portal about, you may be asking. Here’s the blurb:

Mysterious forces are stirring on Whidbey Island. A ghostly prophecy is told. The clock is ticking on a chilling mystery that transcends time itself.

Dive into a thrilling new story with Dylan Wylde and his loyal friends as they face a spooky challenge in the aftermath of their unforgettable Halloween adventures. When their ‘employer’ Mr. Zultano discovers the haunted Archway House and an eerie secret, the gang springs into action to investigate a ghostly mystery.

As they delve deeper into the supernatural puzzle, Dylan and his friends uncover an ancient device with the power to unleash chaos across two worlds.

Soon, they find themselves racing against the clock. But can they solve a century-old riddle in time to save Whidbey Island from a fate spanning both the present and the distant past?

You can get signed copies of this latest adventure at Madrona Supply Co in Clinton, The Goose in Bayview, Wish By The Sea in Langley, Kingfisher Bookstore in Coupeville, The Book Rack in Oak Harbor and also Wind & Tide in Oak Harbor!
