Hannibal Hills, who worked on The Book of Kindly Deaths, Krampus and The Thief of Christmas, as well as One Dark Hallow’s Eve has done another remarkable job of bringing my characters to life. Jake, Professor Thistlequick, the demon who should not be named, Kedgewick and of course Silas Grumble.
And then there’s the other miscreants, villains and general ne’er do wells who live in this alternative London… It’s a rich cast of characters with hero’s, heroines, icy villains and utter grotesques.
As an author it’s sometimes pretty strange hearing your work being performed by someone else.
I’ve usually edited the book several times before I hand it to my editors, and then I need to edit it again. So by the time the book goes to Audible, I know the story pretty well, to say the least 😀 But then I get to listen to it again in a brand new format and it’s always an amazing experience.
