I’ve been getting a lot of enquiries lately, so I’ve posted this page to hopefully provide answers to your questions more quickly. If you need more information, please don’t hesitate to contact me using the form below.

Please note I currently offer both in-person school visits and virtual visits, and I’m open to any ideas, requests or requirements you may have.

In Person Events

I offer school visits on and off of Whidbey Island. On Whidbey Island, I provide a complimentary one-hour meet and greet where I read a few chapters from the Weirdbey Island series, followed by a brief Q&A with the students. 

Additionally, I offer book signings where I provide my novels at a special discount to teachers and students.

For a more immersive experience, I offer full or half-day visits lasting six and three hours respectively. If you have specific requirements, please feel free to let me know. A full-day visit might include:

1. Assemblies featuring book readings and Q&A sessions.

2. Up to five in-class creative writing exercises with an extended Q&A period. 

These exercises are typically designed for 4th and 5th-grade students, and I often teach a monster-creation writing exercise using the five senses.

3. A book signing where discounted books are available to students, teachers & parents.

If you prefer a shorter visit, a half-day could include assemblies and fewer classroom exercises. However, I’m flexible and open to your suggestions!
